An Inclusive Virginia

Virginia is a diverse state, and Ken wants to keep it that way. He is a strong supporter of legal protections for women, immigrants, minorities, and folks in the LGBT community.

He is in support of adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the non-discrimination policy of the Prince William County Public School system, and for repealing the currently-moot "Marshall-Newman" amendment in favor of installing affirmative protections for those in the LGBT community. He is also a strong advocate for installing laws on the books to protect LGBT couples who want to adopt.

Ken is in favor of laws that would allow undocumented immigrants to obtain a drivers license in Virginia, and will partner with lawmakers on the federal level to help create a pathway toward citizenship. He is a strong opponent of the 287(g) agreement Prince William County had with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and would like that agreement discontinued indefinitely.
